SBS’s “Taxi Driver 2” has shared a heart-wrenching sneak peek of Lee Je Hoon’s funeral from its next episode.
Based on the popular webtoon of the same name, “Taxi Driver” is a drama about a mysterious taxi service that delivers vengeance on behalf of victims who are unable to get justice through the law. After a successful run in 2021, the hit drama returned for a second season in February.
The previous episode of “Taxi Driver 2” ended on a shocking cliffhanger, with Kim Do Gi (played by Lee Je Hoon) seemingly falling into a deadly trap set by On Ha Joon (Shin Jae Ha). As his fellow Rainbow Taxi team members looked on in horror, the taxi Kim Do Gi was driving suddenly burst into flames.
With Kim Do Gi’s fate still uncertain, the drama has now released heartbreaking stills of his funeral from its upcoming episode.
In the photos, a tearful Ahn Go Eun (Pyo Ye Jin) stares blankly at Kim Do Gi’s portrait with an empty gaze, seemingly in disbelief at the present situation. Choi Kyung Goo (Jang Hyuk Jin) appears seconds away from bursting into tears, while a distraught Park Jin Uhn (Bae Yoo Ram) has collapsed on the floor in sorrow.
Meanwhile, On Ha Joon also attends the funeral and shamelessly feigns grief amongst the inconsolable Rainbow Taxi team members, raising the question of just how much further he’ll go—and whether he’ll be able to get away with his evil deeds.
To find out what happened to Kim Do Gi, tune in to the next episode of “Taxi Driver 2” on March 31 at 10 p.m. KST.
