A new content creation variety show is coming to viewers!
On March 25, a source from SBS Plus’s “Channel Rental” (working title) stated, “‘Channel Rental’ is a program that shows what happens when a celebrity borrows a popular creator’s channel for one day and produces their own contents. The first episode will air on April 8.”
The show will feature soccer BJ (broadcasting jockey) Gamst and Ji Sang Ryul, mukbang (eating broadcast) creator Sugi and Super Junior’s Kim Heechul, and travel creator Yeo Jung and Kwon Hyuk Soo. Other celebrities to collaborate with creators in areas such as pets, cooking, and eating include EXID’s Hyelin, Jun Hyosung, and comedian Kim Ji Min.
Winners of “2018 Supermodel Survival” Kim Soo Yeon, Park Min Young, Yoon Jung Min, Yoon Jun Hyeop, Lee Seon Jung, Park Je Rin, and Lee Yoo Ri will represent viewers as they take on the role of “fan managers.”
The production staff stated, “The creators, who are just as popular as the celebrities with hundreds of thousands of subscribers, will reveal small, yet definitive tips on how to earn subscribers, succeed, pick props, choose good times to go live, and more. We’ve cast celebrities who have a lot of interest in solo broadcasting. They will use the knowledge they learn from the creators to take part in ideation sessions, prepare for live broadcasts, and film. It will be interesting to see them take on the challenge of their first ‘solo contents.'”
“Channel Rental” will air its first episode on April 8 at 11 p.m. KST.
