Super Junior’s Choi Siwon apologized again about the past incident involving his family’s dog during a press conference for his new drama “My Fellow Citizens.”
In October of 2017, the CEO of the restaurant Hanilkwan was bitten by a french bulldog owned by Choi Siwon and his family. She passed away from sepsis six days later. Her sister stated afterwards that Choi Siwon had visited the family several times to apologize, and she said that they had forgiven him and his family. Despite this, the incident became a large controversy and Choi Siwon halted many of his activities.
On April 1, KBS’s upcoming Monday-Tuesday drama “My Fellow Citizens” held a press conference at a hotel in Yeouido.
Producing director Kim Jung Hyun, Super Junior’s Choi Siwon, Lee Yoo Young, Kim Min Jung, Tae In Ho, Kim Eui Sung, and others attended the event.
At the press conference, Choi Siwon was asked how he felt to be returning with a major network drama for the first time in two years. He took the opportunity to state, “I’ve realized that I have to be more careful and cautious when it comes to any past incidents and anything related to them, as well as anything connected to myself. I am sincerely sorry for causing so many people so much concern.” He bowed in apology.
“My Fellow Citizens” is a comedy crime drama where a con man who got married to a police officer gets swept up in a series of unplanned incidents and ends up running to become a member of the National Assembly.
“My Fellow Citizens” premiered on April 1, and will be available on Dramacool.
