Circle Chart (formerly known as Gaon Chart) has announced its latest batch of official certifications!
In 2018, the Korea Music Content Industry Association implemented a new certification system for album sales, song downloads, and online streaming. Starting with music released on or after January 1, 2018, Circle Chart now certifies albums platinum once they reach 250,000 sales, while albums that have sold a million copies or more receive a “million” certification.
This month, Stray Kids earned a double million certification for selling over 2 million copies of their 2022 mini album “ODDINARY.”
Meanwhile, TXT earned a million certification for selling over 1 million copies of their latest mini album “minisode 3: TOMORROW.”
NMIXX’s latest mini album “Fe304: BREAK” and Kim Ho Joong’s “A LIFE” were both certified triple platinum after selling over 750,000 copies each.
BOYNEXTDOOR earned two certifications this month: the group’s latest mini album “HOW?” was certified double platinum for selling 500,000 copies, while their debut single album “WHO!” was certified platinum for over 250,000 copies sold.
(G)I-DLE’s Yuqi’s solo debut mini album “YUQ1,” TWICE’s 2018 mini album “YES or YES,” and Lee Chan Won’s latest mini album “bright;燦” were all also certified double platinum for selling over 500,000 copies each.
Meanwhile, NCT’s Doyoung’s solo debut album “YOUTH” and the Nemo version of BABYMONSTER’s mini album “BABYMONS7ER” were both certified platinum for over 250,000 copies sold each.
Over in the streaming category, Lim Young Woong earned no less than three separate certifications this month: his hit songs “Trust in Me” and “Love Always Runs Away” were certified double platinum after surpassing 200 million streams each, while “Our Blues” was certified platinum for reaching 100 million streams.
Finally, B1A4’s Sandeul’s “Slightly Tipsy” was also certified platinum after surpassing 100 million streams.
Congratulations to all of the artists!
