“Sweet Home 2” has unveiled brand new posters and stills!
Based on a webtoon of the same name, “Sweet Home” is a popular series about Cha Hyun Soo (Song Kang), a loner high school student who moves into a new apartment when monsters start breaking out among humanity and the apartment residents are trapped inside the building. Season 2 will focus on how Cha Hyun Soo and other survivors struggle to survive after leaving Green Home.
The released posters capture Hyun Soo, who faces a great dilemma of whether to remain a human being or become a monster, the survivors from Green Home, and the newly introduced characters of the “Sweet Home” series against the backdrop of a city that has been thrown into chaos by monsters.
The accompanying stills depict characters battling against their own desires as well as terrifying monsters. Determined to resolve the monster situation, Hyun Soo heads to the Special Disaster Base, even risking becoming a test subject. Pyeon Sang Wook (Lee Jin Wook) gets possessed by Jung Ui Myung (Kim Sung Cheol), who believes that monsterization is humanity’s only hope, and Seo Yi Kyung (Lee Si Young) relentlessly pursues clues about her husband until the very end, eventually giving birth alone.
Other stills depict Lee Eun Yoo (Go Min Si), who is desperately searching for her brother Eun Hyuk (Lee Do Hyun), who has neither been confirmed dead nor alive, Private Park Chan Young (Jung Jinyoung), a just man tasked with transporting the survivors, and Sergeant Tak In Hwan (Yoo Oh Sung), the cool-headed leader of the Special Forces Guard.
The next stills capture Dr. Lim (Oh Jung Se), who has been researching monsterization and vaccines by conducting all kinds of experiments, Sergeant Kim Young Hoo (Kim Moo Yeol), a former UDT officer who works with Sergeant Tak In Hwan to keep people safe, and a mysterious girl with unusual abilities (played by Kim Si Ah). Viewers can’t wait to see the survivors from Season 1 unite with the characters they will meet as they move to their new home.
Talking about his character Cha Hyun Soo, Song Kang shared, “In Season 2, I thought a lot about how I could show the character Cha Hyun Soo in a more mature way.”
Lee Jin Wook, whose character Pyeon Sang Wook has completely transformed from Season 1, shared, “In Season 2, I had to play someone who is the opposite of Sang Wook, someone who has almost no humanity.”
Talking about her character, Lee Si Young shared, “She goes from being all alone to becoming a passionate mother caught up in a whirlpool of life’s joys and sorrows.”
Commenting on her character in “Sweet Home 2,” Go Min Si shared, “I think she is a character that has become much colder but also much warmer. She struggles because there are people she does not want to lose.”
Explaining his reason for casting the actors playing the newly introduced characters, Director Lee Eung Bok explained, “Jinyoung’s image perfectly matched that of the character Chan Young. Yoo Oh Sung is an actor who can portray both good and evil at the same time, and Kim Moo Yeol perfectly fits the charismatic Tak In Hwan,” adding, “Oh Jung Se has a delightful and Joker-like smile befitting a crazy scientist, and Kim Si Ah is an actress with a unique aura.”
“Sweet Home 2” will premiere on December 1.
