Song Joong-ki’s divorce from Song Hye-kyo finalized, settled without division of property

Song Joong-ki‘s divorce from Song Hye-kyo is now official as a family court approved on Monday their divorce settlement.
The ex-couple, who played the lead roles in the mega-hit 2016 series Descendants of the Sun before getting married in October 2017, announced on June 27 that they wanted to end their marriage legally.

According to Song Hye-kyo’s agency ( The United Artists Agency), their divorce was finalized by the Seoul Family Court “with both sides agreeing on a divorce without alimony or division of property.”
It was an amicable divorce settlement for the two, just like what Song Joong-ki hoped for. The actor, who filed the divorce petition on June 26, did not elaborate on the reason of their divorce and just hoped “that the divorce process can be wrapped up nicely.”
Song Hye-kyo, meanwhile, mentioned that “personal differences” caused them to break up.
The family court privately held the divorce arbitration on July 22 at 10 am (Korea time)
