The critically acclaimed new film “Sleep” is off to an impressive start at the box office!

Ever since its release on September 6, the new horror and mystery thriller film starring Jung Yu Mi and Lee Sun Gyun has enjoyed an uninterrupted 12-day streak at No. 1 at the Korean box office.

On September 18, the Korean Film Council announced that as of the day before, “Sleep” had officially reached a total of 1,031,009 moviegoers—meaning that it took just 12 days to hit the 1 million mark.

A black-comedy horror thriller, “Sleep” tells the story of a happy newlywed couple whose domestic bliss is disrupted when the husband develops a mysterious sleepwalking problem. The film premiered at Cannes Critics’ Week earlier this year.

Congratulations to the cast and crew of “Sleep”!
