SHINee's Onew Signs With New Agency + Drops New Profile Photos

SHINee’s Onew is gearing up for his next chapter with a new agency!

On April 3, newly established agency GRIFFIN Entertainment announced the signing of an exclusive contract with Onew. They shared, “We are happy to be together with Onew on his new start. GRIFFIN Entertainment will not spare any effort so that we can become the artist’s sanctuary.”

Along with the announcement, GRIFFIN Entertainment shared new profile photos of Onew, who has become GRIFFIN Entertainment’s first artist. According to GRIFFIN Entertainment, the agency draws its name “from the legendary guardian of priceless relics” and is “dedicated to safeguarding and nurturing our artists.” They further shared, “We strive to provide a sanctuary where artists can thrive and let their distinct gifts and talents illuminate the world.”

Onew also took to Instagram to share his new profile photos along with the caption, “It was a long wait, wasn’t it? Thank you!”

Previously in March, it was reported that Onew’s exclusive contract SM Entertainment was ending. In response to the report, SM Entertainment announced that SHINee will continue group activities under SM without change while the members would explore options for individual contracts. Earlier on April 1, Big Planet Made announced that they signed an exclusive contract with fellow SHINee member Taemin.
