The IFPI has released its year-end Global Album Chart for 2023—and half of this year’s top 10 spots went to K-pop artists!
On February 27 local time, the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI)—a non-profit organization that represents the music recording industry worldwide—revealed its annual rankings of last year’s best-selling albums across global physical sales and digital downloads.
SEVENTEEN won the IFPI Global Album Award for 2023 with their record-breaking mini album “FML,” which took No. 1 as the biggest album of the year. The group also took No. 8 on the year-end chart with their more recent mini album “SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN.”
Stray Kids similarly made the top 20 twice: the group claimed No. 2 with their full-length album “★★★★★ (5-STAR)” and No. 9 with their latest mini album “ROCK-STAR.”
Finally, NCT DREAM’s studio album “ISTJ” ranked No. 6 for 2023.
Check out the top 10 of the IFPI’s Global Album Chart 2023 below!
