Cho Yi Hyun and Choo Young Woo may soon be reuniting on screen!
On August 21, it was reported that the two actors have been cast as the leads in the upcoming drama “Gyunwoo and Fairy” (literal title).
In response, Cho Yi Hyun’s agency Artist Company stated, “Cho Yi Hyun is positively reviewing the offer to star in ‘Gyunwoo and Fairy.'” Similarly, Choo Young Woo’s agency J,Wide-Company shared that the actor is also positively considering his offer.
Based on the popular webtoon of the same name, “Gyunwoo and Fairy” is a fantasy romance that tells the story of a high school shaman who sets out to save her first love.
Cho Yi Hyun is in talks to play Park Sung Ah, a high school student who has been living a double life as a shaman for over five years. When she learns that her first love Bae Gyun Woo is in danger of dying, she takes it upon herself to save him, sparking romance between them.
Back in June, actress Choi Sung Eun was previously in talks for the role.
Choo Young Woo is in talks to portray Bae Gyun Woo, a man plagued by bad luck. Despite his disbelief in gods and shamans, his life begins to take a turn for the better after meeting Sung Ah.
Notably, Cho Yi Hyun and Choo Young Woo previously co-starred in the drama “School 2021.”
“Gyunwoo and Fairy” is reportedly being considered for a 12-episode run on tvN, with a potential air date in 2025. Stay tuned for more updates!
