SBS’s popular entertainment program “Running Man” will move its broadcast time slot starting next year!
On December 12, “Running Man” announced, “Starting from Sunday January 1, 2023, ‘Running Man’ will air at 6:20 p.m. KST.”
Until now, “Running Man” has been airing every Sunday at 5 p.m. KST and remained the most-watched show in its time slot among the key demographic of viewers from ages 20 to 49. The show has also been named Variety Show of The Year in 2020 and 2021 by South Korea’s representative over-the-top (OTT) streaming platform Wavve and topped December’s brand reputation rankings for variety shows, consistently proving its title as one of South Korea’s most beloved variety program.
The change in the “Running Man” broadcast time slot is said to aim for a more diverse and wider audience starting from the new year, and this will mark the show’s return to the 6 p.m. time slot for the first time in six years since 2017. The production team of “Running Man” commented, “We are planning more enjoyable and diverse races that hopefully will make viewers laugh more to commemorate the changing broadcast time slot. Please look forward to ‘Running Man’ which will run even harder.”
“Running Man” will air at 5 p.m. KST until December 25 and will air at 6:20 p.m. KST starting from Sunday January 1, 2023.
