Roy Kim Booked For Charges Of Spreading Illegally Taken Photos

Roy Kim’s status as a witness has been changed to that of a suspect.
On April 4, a source from the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency revealed, “We booked
and notified Roy Kim to be investigated for charges of violating the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, etc by spreading illegally taken footage.” When asked if Roy Kim directly filmed the spread footage, the police answered that it hasn’t been confirmed.
The source further explained, “Singers Jeong Jinwoon, Kangin, Lee Jong Hyun, Yong Junhyung, and model Lee Chul Woo, who are being mentioned as participants of Jung Joon Young‘s KakaoTalk chatroom, are still considered witnesses.”
Roy Kim is facing charges of spreading illegally taken photos. It was revealed on April 2 that Roy Kim is one of the previously unidentified celebrities in a group chatroom where Jung Joon Young shared illegal videos. Following the reports, Roy Kim’s agency responded that while the singer is currently studying abroad, he will be returning to Korea as soon as possible for questioning.
