Apr 10, 2019
The request for TV personality Robert Holley’s arrest with detention has been dismissed.
Robert Holley was arrested on suspicions of drug use on April 8, and after questioning, the police decided to file a warrant request for his arrest with detention. Robert Holley has admitted to taking Philopon (a form of methamphetamine) that he purchased online.
On the morning of April 10, the Suwon District Court held an interrogation to determine the validity of the warrant. Afterwards, the arrest with detention warrant was dismissed. It was stated, “The majority of evidence of the facts regarding the suspected crime has been collected. He is also deeply regretful over his wrongdoings and has admitted to all the crimes written on the warrant. Therefore it is difficult to see there being concerns about the destruction of evidence.”
The police will be continuing their investigation with Robert Holley not in detention.
It has also been reported that Robert Holley was suspected of drug use twice in the past, and he evaded drug testing through methods such as hair removal.
Robert Holley is a naturalized South Korean citizen and became well known through his appearances on variety shows. While he took part in filming for today’s episode of MBC’s “Radio Star” as a guest, the production team has stated their intentions to edit him from the show as much as possible.
