Review "Change Days Season 2" Episode 6

Aug 1, 2022

Change Days season 2 episode 6’s beginning probably is a good indication of how badly the rest of the episode is going to go. And not because it’s a bad episode – it’s just so much drama! Tae-wan, I must say, shows a surprising bit of maturity that I had yet to see from him. Tae-wan is probably the star of this episode for me – he had such good moments where he is so vulnerable and very open about his feelings.

Anyway, this is an explosive episode. Change Days season 2 episode 6 brings out the worst in some of the people. If you thought the last few episodes were problematic, wait till you see the sixth one. There’s just so much heartbreak and toxicity in this one episode that I was left with my jaw on the floor.

While watching Change Days season 2 episode 6, I resonated with one of the contestants’ words – it seems like some people have come to the show only to break up with their spouses. It’s the day of group dates, and obviously, when you’re out with others in front of your original partners, it’s bound to be uncomfortable and just a bit jealousy-inducing.

However, some of the couples were acting like there was no one else around them when, in reality, their original partners were sitting right there beside them. It’s not just about cringe, it just makes you wonder how much of a gaslighting mean person you have to be to have no boundaries yet accuse your partners later on. Because, let’s be honest – you haven’t broken up with anyone yet. So, shouldn’t you have that respect for your partner, if nothing else?

I felt agitated watching these scenes because it just felt so mean-spirited, and as a third person peeking in (and also, I am guessing, with a heavy amount of editing), you’d be inclined to hate some of these people.

I think the hosts break down some of the incidents the best and mention in the end how some of the constants should’ve had some boundaries, even though the goal is to focus on your date. The fact that these aren’t actors or social media celebrities, you are more inclined to have deeper feelings for these people because they are so genuine and easy to like/dislike.

Other than the pool date, a select couple, personally, is way too handsy even in the villa. Like, I understand it’s a bond like no other, but also, you haven’t even known each other for a month. It’s not like you’ve found the love of your life, and in all probability, both of you are on your best behaviour. I don’t get it – why be so blind to other people’s feelings?

But, the most nauseatingly annoying part is when those who have gone on multiple dates and are way too lovey-dovey off said dates get annoyed at their partners for having fun. This hypocrisy is just unbearable and will make you feel some type of way. Bad communication aside, the least you can do is be fair. It’s just so toxic to hear people who have gone on multiple dates rage about how much their partners were laughing.

Anyway, on the drama front – it’s delicious. It will boil your blood as well because I think by now, almost everyone has found a favourite and least favourite person in the villa, and since they have been put together, everyone’s feelings are now jumbled up. You, and the contestants, see first-hand what their partners look like with others, and the drama is just great. Simple but effective.
