The Killer’s Shopping List (살인자의 쇼핑목록) is a 2022 South Korean Comedy Thriller based on the novel of the same name by Kang Ji-young. The drama is directed by Lee Eon-hee and features Lee Kwang-soo, Kim Seol-hyun (Seolhyun of AOA) and Jin Hee-kyung in lead roles. The Killer’s Shopping List Episode 8 has a runtime of 67 minutes.

In The Killer’s Shopping List Episode 8, A-hee and her senior go to Geumsung Realty and find their detective unconscious at the site and Dae-sung standing next to him. Dae-sung had just broken down the door and came out of the room Cheon-kyu had locked him in. The senior tries to arrest Dae-sung as a suspect but A-hee pleads with him to trust Dae-sung because only he can rescue Yul and find the real killer. He lets them go but Dae-sung has to remain hidden.

Yul has seen the frozen dead body of ‘Five Dollars’ in the refrigerator and her father threatens her to not tell anyone or all of them will die, just like the person in the freezer. He moves out of that apartment and shifts to Five Dollars’ apartment where no one would come looking for him. Cheon-kyu orders stuff from MS Mart with a different apartment number, hoping Dae-sung will come and he will kill him but his mom goes for delivery. Yul thinks smartly and orders the same stuff again with a secret SOS that only Dae-sung knows.

Dae-sung understands the message and all the employees go there for Yul’s rescue. When Yul hears their voice, she runs into the bedroom and locks it. The employees are trying to break into the apartment next to where Yul is but Cheon-kyu is still scared. When her father starts breaking the door, Yul gets out of the window and stands on an AC exhaust but A-hee arrives at the same time and saves her. Dae-sung finds the dead bodies including Yul’s mother in the freezer but Cheon-kyu runs away hurting Sung-yoon.

As the employees were separated, Cheon-kyu runs away easily but all of them are on the lookout for him. The product lady uses her network and spreads the word all over the market. A-hee and Dae-sung search his office to find a clue of what’s holding him back and his mother and Yoon-ho are riding on their bike in search of Cheon-kyu.

The Killer’s Shopping List Episode 8 Ending

One of the product lady’s connections sees Cheon-kyu and reports it to her. She calls Yoon-ho and asks them to follow him. Cheon-kyu almost gets caught but he manages to tie Dae-sung’s mom and Yoon-ho up. He gets Dae-sung’s location but while talking with him, her mom uses the secret SOS code. A-hee tracks her phone and tracks their location but Cheon-kyu is already at the mart, fighting with Dae-sung.

Dae-sung beats Cheon-kyu and the police arrest him. The phone that Yul had hidden has video proof of her father murdering the woman. The killer is caught and everything is back to normal. Dae-sung wins a courageous citizen award, Sung-yoon now openly dresses in women’s clothing and Yoon-ho has started dating Yachae. The MS mart is now Mom and Son’s Mart and with that, A-hee’s father gives permission to Dae-sung and his marriage.

The Killer’s Shopping List Episode 8 Review

The Killer’s Shopping List Episode 8 is predictable but entertaining. We already knew who the killer was from the previous episode and the only thing left was to catch him. However, we do see how he has been tormenting Yul until now and what kind of psychopath he is. The employees do more to catch him than the police. Dae-sung’s behaviour throughout the series was illogical and it stays the same in the last episode. This short series is good for a fun watch as it is not much intense and has interesting characters as well.
