Recap Korean Drama "Insider" Episode 13

In Insider Episode 13, Yo-han discusses with Soo-yeon his strategy to avenge those who wronged him and his first target is Chief Prosecutor Yoon Byung-wook. As expected, Byung-wook sends Hong Jae-sung to get Yo-han for him. The Ministry of Justice has halted promotion because someone tipped them on corrupt prosecutors. To add to Byung-wook’s problem, they haven’t received funds from Annie and she tells them the reason for Byung-wook’s past with Yo-han. Unexpectedly, Yo-han obeys Byung-wook and joins hands with him but he has an ulterior motive behind it.

Prosecutor Mok didn’t see it coming that Yo-han would become the manager of Goldman Casino. He fears that Yo-han will come to him next and hence, bugs his entire casino. He hears all of his conversations and understands that Yo-han has no plan to take him down but Byung-wook only. However, Yo-han knows that he is being spied on and doesn’t speak everything he wants to say. On the record, he has clashed with Soo-yeon who wants to murder Byung-wook right away but Yo-han wants to use the law to punish him.

Mok visits Byung-wook to expose Yo-han but when he hears that he is being to a faraway remote village, he gets angry and leaves Byung-wook’s office without showing him the recording of Yo-han and Soo-yeon’s conversation. This is again Yo-han’s plan as he wants Mok to stop co-operating with Byung-wook and lay low.

Yo-han tips off Mok with Sinseon-dong and the luxurious treatment that VIP inmates get there. Mok raids Seongju prison but realizes that all the VIP inmates in front of him are not the real ones but just models put front to pose as them. Mok doesn’t find anything worthy at the jail and turns out, that Soo-yeon was behind it. She had already informed the warden that Prosecutor Mok was coming for them. This brings Soo-yeon to the good side of the deep pockets of Sinseon-dong and she asks them to make her the next manager of Goldman Casino because it is time to throw away Yo-han now.

Insider Episode 13 Ending

Yo-han already knows that Soo-yeon had done her research on him and had approached him for a reason. He confronts her directly and asks her what her real intention is. Chairman Do and Soo-yeon had discussed Yo-han before they met for the first time. Though Soo-yeon has been working with Yo-han now, it is unsure if she really wants to work beside Yo-han or wants to discard him and take the reign into her hands. Mok has also helped Yang Hwa to get him on his side as Byung-wook has betrayed both of them. Yo-han plans to expose everything as an insider but he needs to survive first.

Insider Episode 13 Review

Insider Episode 13 shows a different side of Kim Yo-han. He has reached a position now from where he can either go down to become a prisoner again or die being the king. However, he still has revenge in his mind and is determined not to go down before punishing everyone who ruined his life.
