Insider is a 2022 Korean Action Thriller which revolves around a Judicial apprentice, Kim Yo-han who goes undercover to work on a mission. The drama is written by Moon Man-se and directed by Min Yeon-hong. It stars Kang Ha-neul, Lee Yoo-young, Ho Sung-tae, Kang Young-seok and Kim Sang-ho in leading roles. The series will have 16 episodes in total. Insider Episode 4 has a runtime of 60 minutes.
In Insider Episode 4, Yo-han and the monk are in a tiebreak. Monk believes that he has won the game by pulling an ace but it turns out to be a different card. Yo-han wins the game and returns to his cell. He doesn’t tell the gang leader that he has won the game but has to tell him the next day. He also tells him that he talked with Jang Sun-oh too. However, he doesn’t disclose the fact that Sun-oh helped him win the game.

The gang leader orders Yo-han to talk with Sun-oh since he has to go to the infirmary to get his medicines. This time, Yo-han finds Sun-oh in his room, learning what emotions are from an acting teacher. When Yo-han asks Sun-oh why he helped him, Sun-oh tells him his plan after getting out of jail. Sun-oh tells him that he wants to rule the gambling field in Korea and for that, he needs men whom he can trust and he wants Yo-han to be one of them.
Oh Soo-yeon visits Yo-han again and tells her that she has been planning to revenge on Yoon Byung-wook for twenty years. She also shows him the video of prosecutor Mok abandoning his grandmother’s body on the field. She was also after Chairman Yang like Yo-han and she offers her help to Yo-han because they both have the same target. In exchange for the help, she wants Yo-han to rule the prison. Yo-han accepts her offer.

Jang Sun-oh has accepted Yo-han into the first league and has moved him into the spacious personal cell. The gang leader is upset with Yo-han’s upgrade without his permission and asks Yo-han to kill Sun-oh to get rid of all of his debt. The gang leader calls Sun-oh for a meeting and Sun-oh brings Yo-han with him. The gang leader orders Yo-han to stab Sun-oh but he denies it. Yo-han found out from the mute prisoner that the gang leader knows everything that Yo-han didn’t tell him and plans to kill Yo-han after Sun-oh dies. The cards change fast and after their defeat, the entire gang gets dispersed to different jails or confinements.
Yo-han is now officially a part of Sun-oh’s gang and with the upgrade, Yo-han also has to take some lessons. He has to get beaten by the gang whom he defeated in the game. He shouldn’t have a gang holding a grudge against him. Secondly, he needs to learn how to play card tricks to scam the players. Nam Dae-min, the mute prisoner, who is not really mute is a pro scammer and has started teaching Yo-han, though he finds Yo-han hopeless.

The third lesson is business. Sun-oh holds gambling nights for elite and rich prisoners. Some of his own players including Nam Dae-mun join the games to scam people and others serve as waiters. The players give a big amount of tips in the form of tokens which brings the money back to Sun-oh. However, Sun-oh has a better job to do for Yo-han. He wants him to give out loans to people by signing IOU with them for their properties, body parts etc., but Nam Dae-mun and others are not comfortable with Sun-oh trusting Yo-han this much.
Insider Episode 4 is exciting and very much engaging. The prison is whole another world and it is a world of crime. Jang Sun-oh looks and acts crazy but he is a genius who holds everyone at his fingertip. The action scenes are well-executed and enjoyable. The series has been good so far and the episodes will make you watch them in one go.
