Recap Korean Drama "Eve (2022)" Episode 4

Eve or Eve’s Scandal (이브의 스캔들) is a 2022 South Korean Romantic Melodrama written by Yoon Young-mi and directed by Park Bong-sub. The drama stars Seo Yea-ji, Park Byung-eun, Lee Sang-yeob and Yoo Sun in leading roles. The series will run for 16 episodes. Eve Episode 4 has a runtime of 67 minutes.

In Eve Episode 4, Yoon-yeom and So-ra are attending the memorial service of Yoon-gyem’s grandparents. So-ra has to work in the kitchen there when she doesn’t even cook at her own home. Moreover, Yoon-gyeom’s father has been stressing her out because he wants a grandson from them. So-ra calls Ra-el in frustration and tells her everything about their family matter. They go for shopping together the next day to help So-ra relax.

Liyan kindergarten has been holding a function where different industry experts will be giving a speech. So-ra is in charge of the program but she cannot get hold of Seo Eun-pyeong because he doesn’t receive calls from rich people. Ra-el promises So-ra to convince him and Eun-pyeong agrees to give a speech only after doing a background check. After his meeting with So-ra, Eun-pyeong gives Ra-el a document with Yoon-gyeom’s insider investigation. Turns out Yoon-gyeom is an illegitimate child and if he doesn’t inherit the LY group, Ra-el’s plan will fail.

So-ra reveals to Ra-el that her husband is not interested in getting physical at all and she doesn’t know what to do about it. Ra-el suggests she learn the Tango and dance with her husband. Tango needs the most physical touch than any other dance form. So-ra thinks that it’s not sophisticated for a woman of high social status like her but Ra-el manages to pursue her by making it a parent dance performance and invites two other parents.

So-ra was worked up after practising a Tango session but when Yoon-gyeom doesn’t come home early, she goes to a resort to satisfy make out with the escort. She has asked Ra-el to pick up her daughter from school and drop her off at home. Things seem to go Ra-el’s way when Da-bi shows her the secret safe in Yoon-gyeom’s study room. She sees all the secret ledgers but unexpectedly Yoon-gyeom comes home early and Ra-el has to retract. She could have been caught but got out of their safe.

Eve Episode 4 Ending

Yoon-gyeom asks Ra-el if she knows that Piazolla’s Bandoneon is used to console those who died a painful death. Ra-el gets surprised to find out that he knows about it because Ra-el’s friend Maria had told her about it back in Bueno Aires. She calls he friends and asks her if she had told this story to someone else. Kang Yoon-hyeom had met Maria right after Ra-el left for Korea. Maria told Ra-el that he looked just like her, suffering from childhood trauma. She calls their meeting a Twinflame connection that they cannot escape.

Yoon-gyeom asks Ra-el if she is sure about having an affair with him because she won’t be treated with respect when people find out. She replies positively and Yoon-gyeom gives in to her seduction and kisses her.

Eve Episode 4 Review

Eve Episode 4 disappoints in many ways. Ra-el acting recklessly even after she has planned the revenge for ten years is completely unconvincing. Moreover, the chemistry between Ra-el and Kang is off in this episode. So-ra and Eun-pyeong are the only ones who carry the episode.
