Tae-oh tells him that this is important for the company which shuts Jung-don from speaking any further. Tae-oh then goes to his office to introduce an agent to someone, and this agent is none other than Hyun-joo who too is looking for other jobs. However, she receives messages from Eun-gyul which puts her off.

Tae-oh then sneaks into the agents’ office and sneakily leaves an envelope containing passes for an upcoming preview on Hyun-joo’s desk which is seen by Eun-soo which she peeks into before hurriedly putting it back. On the other hand, Jin-hyeok tells Jung-do that a director wants Hee-sun to audition which makes the latter rush to cancel the audition as she hasn’t been signed into their agency.

This makes Hee-sun lose her patience as she burst out in front of him as tells him that he never gave her a chance or came to watch her play even once to judge her skills. She then hands him the ticket to her play and asks him to come by just once.

Back in the office, Hyun-joo is looking forward to the show while Eun-soo continues to stare at her while enquiring about her relationship with Tae-oh. Unable to hold back through Eun-soo’s interrogation, Hyun-joo almost spills out the truth before turning into Tae-oh being her father’s friend while she is someone born out of wedlock.

However, Eun-soo doesn’t stop there and wants more information only to end up with the misunderstanding that So Ji-sub is her father which shocks her. Hyun-joo doesn’t deny it either and asks her to not spill this to anyone.

The following day, Je-in sees the special tax investigation taking place at the company but soon forgets about everything as soon as she sees the officer incharge- Lee Sang-wook. Her sudden enthusiasm towards him makes Jung-don doubtful while Je-in seems to be unable to remember the man in front of her.

On the other hand, everyone is worried about the investigation when Tae-oh reveals that Wang Tae-ja had used some of the company’s money on himself which shocks the rest. However, they are now focused on finding the one who ratted them out and suspicions point towards Star Media. He then tells Jun-dong to seal the deal with Soo-mi and Hyo-rim.

Soo-mi and Hyo-rim soon arrive at the company and have a separate discussion with the manager when Hyo-rim tells Jun-dong that she doesn’t want to act with her mother-in-law. Jin-hyeok overhears their conversation and suggests Hyo-rim sabotage her interview which she does. However, what she doesn’t know is that Soo-mi has done the same.

Soo-mi is disinterested but Tae-oh lies to her that Hyo-rim would get the part only if she signs in with her mother-in-law which makes her want to try it again. Jun-dong finds out what happened and rushes after the writer to apologise and ask for another chance.

This lights up the memory in her head but doesn’t stop her from wanting to get closer to Sang-wook who only sees her advances to be for the sake of her company.

The next day, the writer comes back to interview Soo-mi and Hyo-rim and has the two open up to each other. During this process she sees the characters in her script coming alive which excites her, however, Soo-mi loses her temper and attacks the writer which ends up with them costing their roles.

Behind Every Star Episode 3 Review

This episode just showed that this is the kind of drama that is perfect for playing in the background while you are busy with something else. While it may make you lift your head once in a while, it is not something that will engage you in such a way that will make it impossible to miss a moment.

Quite a slow episode with a number of fillers, but the romance that is appearing between Je-in and Sang-wook maybe make things more interesting. Let’s see what else this drama brings to us in the near future.
