KBS 2TV’s upcoming drama “Going to You at a Speed of 493 km” (literal translation) has shared a sneak peek of Park Ju Hyun in character!
The sports romance drama is about a man and a woman who play mixed doubles on a badminton works team. Park Ju Hyun stars as Park Tae Yang, and Chae Jong Hyeop takes the role of Park Tae Joon.
Park Ju Hyun’s character Park Tae Yang is the queen of smashing and a former aspiring Olympian who returns to the badminton court after three years’ absence. She practices harder than everyone else in order to make up the time that she was absent from the sport. Why she suddenly left the sport three years ago is one of the central questions in the drama.
On March 2, the production team released the first stills of Park Tae Yang when she was a badminton athlete for the national team three years ago. She’s proudly wearing a uniform with the Korean flag, and her hair is tied up into a tight bun. She oozes sharp charisma as she focuses on the game, and she tightly holds onto her racket with firm determination. Park Ju Hyun expressed Park Tae Yang’s sincerity in badminton with detailed acting, and she even practiced the sport during break.
The producers remarked, “Park Ju Hyun drew admiration by transforming into Park Tae Yang herself by perfectly expressing her character from the first filming. We can’t imagine anyone else playing Park Ju Hyun.” They added that Park Ju Hyun created Park Ju Hyun with a thorough analysis of the script and spared no efforts to portray the role. Because of that, they’re confident that Park Tae Yang will be her best character yet.
“Going to You at a Speed of 493 km” will premiere sometime in April.
