“One Ordinary Day” Stills Show Cha Seung Won and Kim Soo Hyun In Serious Trouble

One Ordinary Day stars Kim Soo Hyun and Cha Seung Won show troubled and serious faces in the still cuts released for the crime drama. In Coupang Play’s first drama series offering, Kim Soo Hyun plays Kim Hyun Soo, an ordinary college student. However, his life changes overnight when he becomes the primary suspect for a murder case. Cha Seung Won breathes life to Shin Joong Han, a third-rate Attorney. He faces a tough battle with a cruel legal system as he represents Kim Hyun Soo in his fight for his innocence and freedom.

The images show the characters wearing somber facial expressions indicating the gravity of the situation. In another image, Shin Joong Han and Kim Hyun Soo engage in a conversation inside a jail cell. Hyun Soo looks subdued and timid as he says something to his lawyer. On the other hand, Shin Joong Han exudes a more relaxed and confident demeanor.

One Ordinary Day has garnered attention early on with the casting of actors Cha Seung Won and Kim Soo Hyun. Director Lee Myung Woo (The Fiery Priest, Backstreet Rookie) said that he plans to express the events in the series effectively and with impact through bold directing. He added that he will “delicately capture the range of emotions Cha Seung Won and Kim Soo Hyun go through.”

Kim Seong Han, General Director of Coupang Play expresses confidence in the upcoming series. He also added that they are glad it is the platform’s first drama series. He said, “One Ordinary Day is a work we started because we fell in love with the solid structure of the script.”

The 8-episode series will have its first broadcast in November.
