tvN’s “The Queen’s Umbrella” is off to a promising start!
On October 15, the new historical drama starring Kim Hye Soo premiered at the top of its time slot. According to Nielsen Korea, the first episode of “The Queen’s Umbrella” scored an average nationwide rating of 7.6 percent, taking first place in its time slot across all channels (including public broadcast networks).
“The Queen’s Umbrella” also took first place in its time slot among the key demographic of viewers ages 20 to 49, with whom it scored a nationwide average of 3.3 percent.
Meanwhile, SBS’s “One Dollar Lawyer” achieved its highest viewership ratings to date last night. The hit drama starring Namgoong Min earned an average nationwide rating of 15.0 percent, making it the most-watched miniseries of the entire week—and setting a new personal record for the show.
MBC’s “The Golden Spoon,” which airs in the same time slot as “One Dollar Lawyer,” fell to an average nationwide rating of 4.6 percent as it wrapped up the first half of its run.
tvN’s “Blind” rose slightly to an average nationwide rating of 2.6 percent, while JTBC’s “The Empire” dipped to an average rating of 2.1 percent.
Finally, KBS 2TV’s “Three Bold Siblings” continued its reign as the most-watched program to air on any channel on Saturday, scoring an average nationwide rating of 18.5 percent for the night.
