NewJeans To Sing For “A Time Called You” OST

NewJeans will be taking on their first-ever drama OST!

On August 24, an official from Netflix confirmed reports that NewJeans will be participating in the OST (original soundtrack) for its upcoming series “A Time Called You.” Netflix further shared that NewJeans’ OST will be a remake of Kim Jong Seo’s 1996 song “Beautiful Restriction” (literal title).

Based on the hit Taiwanese drama “Some Day or One Day,” “A Time Called You” is a time-slip romance starring Jeon Yeo Been as Jun Hee, a woman who desperately misses her boyfriend after he passes away. In the midst of her grief, she winds up miraculously traveling back in time to 1998, where she wakes up as the high school student Min Ju and meets fellow student Si Heon (Ahn Hyo Seop), who looks exactly like her late boyfriend.

Since the drama’s theme is about time travel that happens upon listening to an old song from the character’s memories, expectations are already high on how NewJeans will blend the 1996 song into the series.

“A Time Called You” will be released on September 8.
