Over a month after the release of their latest mini album, NewJeans is still going strong on the Billboard charts!
On August 29 local time, Billboard announced that NewJeans’ second mini album “Get Up” had held steady at No. 21 on its latest Top 200 Albums chart, marking its fifth consecutive week in the top 30.
With this achievement, “Get Up” has become the first K-pop girl group album in history to spend five consecutive weeks in the top 30 of the Billboard 200.
Meanwhile, NewJeans’ hit single “Super Shy” successfully remained on Billboard’s Hot 100 at No 80, making it the group’s first song ever to chart for seven weeks.
“Get Up” also stayed strong at No. 3 in its fifth week on Billboard’s World Albums chart, in addition to sweeping the No. 7 spot on the Top Album Sales chart, Top Current Album Sales chart, and Tastemaker Albums chart.
On Billboard’s Global Excl. U.S. chart, “Super Shy” came in at No. 6 this week, followed by “ETA” at No. 14, “New Jeans” at No. 56, “OMG” at No. 73, “Ditto” at No. 85, “Cool With You” at No. 98, and “Hype Boy” at No. 112. On the Global 200, “Super Shy” held onto its spot at No. 11, trailed by “ETA” at No. 28, “New Jeans” at No. 88, “OMG” at No. 113, “Ditto” at No. 138, and “Cool With You” at No. 143.
Finally, NewJeans ranked No. 24 on Billboard’s Artist 100 this week, marking their ninth non-consecutive week on the chart.
