“New Journey To The West” Takes First Place In Gallup Korea’s “TV Shows Koreans Love”

“New Journey to the West 6” has become the first variety show ever to top Gallup Korea’s “TV Shows Koreans Love.”
From November 13 to 15, Gallup Korea surveyed 1,001 men and women over the age of 19 on their favorite television programs. “New Journey to the West 6” took first place with 6.0 percent.
The variety show began with its first season in September of 2015 as a web variety show, reuniting former “2 Days & 1 Night” cast members Kang Ho Dong, Lee Soo Geun, SECHSKES’s Eun Ji Won, and Lee Seung Gi. Since then, the newer seasons have joined tvN’s regular programming, bringing in new cast members, characters, games, and laughs. The sixth season currently stars Kang Ho Dong, Lee Soo Geun, Eun Ji Won, Ahn Jae Hyun, WINNER’s Song Mino, and Block B’s P.O.
Other notable shows that ranked on the survey include MBC’s “I Live Alone” in second place, JTBC’s “Ask Us Anything” in fifth place, JTBC’s “The Beauty Inside” in seventh place, and SBS’s “Running Man” in eighth place.

“New Journey to the West 6” is the third tvN program to be picked in this survey, as “Goblin” was chosen in January of 2017 and “Mr. Sunshine” in September of 2018.
