MBC’s “My Dearest” has shared a glimpse of a heartbreaking moment from its upcoming episode!

On the previous episode of “My Dearest,” Lee Jang Hyun (Namgoong Min) finally returned to Hanyang after nearly losing his life. However, his joy at the thought of being reunited with Yoo Gil Chae (Ahn Eun Jin) was short-lived: when he arrived at her house, he found Yoo Gil Chae—who had mistakenly believed him dead—about to marry another man.

Before leaving for Shenyang, Lee Jang Hyun had promised to buy Yoo Gil Chae a pair of beautiful flower shoes. Despite repeatedly facing life-threatening danger, Lee Jang Hyun managed to overcome all the obstacles in his way and buy the flower shoes he had promised Yoo Gil Chae—a symbol of his enduring love and longing for her in the midst of war.

However, in newly released stills from the drama’s next episode, Lee Jang Hyun tearfully burns the flower shoes he intended to give Yoo Gil Chae, making viewers’ hearts ache as he destroys a gift that had held so much meaning for him.
