Nam Joo-hyuk, Shin Min-ah, and Han Ji-min might work together in a single project as they have been offered roles in a new drama from Noh Hee-kyung, the writer of critically acclaimed series like Dear My Friends, It’s Okay It’s Love, That Winter The Wind Blows, and The Most Beautiful Goodbye In The World.
Three A-list actors starring in just one drama? Four, actually, if Jo In-sung also ends up accepting the project. His potential participation in the new series was announced on July 25 while that of Nam Joo-hyuk, Shin Min-ah, and Han Ji-min was reported just this week.
The drama’s production company said that the four actors are now in talks to appear in Noh Hee-kyung’s latest series, which is said to be about the volunteer work of a non-governmental organization. However, it clarified that the script of the drama is still incomplete, so “nothing is confirmed yet.” From the looks of it, the production team already made a pitch for the actors to join the project but since the story is still being developed, the actors just need to review the completed script before making their final decision.

Jo In-sung and Han Ji-min previously worked together with writer Noh Hee-kyung in It’s Okay It’s Love (2014) and Padam Padam (2011-2012), respectively. Jo In-sung’s most recent drama project was his guest appearance in Dear My Friends (2016). Han Ji-min, on the other hand, recently headlined the 2019 romantic drama One Spring Night.
Meanwhile, if Shin Min-ah and Nam Joo-hyuk accept the roles offered to them, it will be their first time working with the award-winning writer. Shin Min-ah, who is best known for her roles in My Girlfriend Is A Gumiho (2010) and Arang And The Magistrate (2012), starred in the recently ended political drama Chief of Staff. Nam Joo-hyuk, who catapulted himself into stardom after starring in Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo (2016-2017), played the lead role in the 2019 series The Light In Your Eyes opposite Han Ji-min.

Bae Sung-woo, whose previous drama (Live) was also written by Noh Hee-kyung, also received an offer to participate in the said production. If he, Jo In-sung, and Nam Joo-hyuk eventually decide to take the project, they will reunite with each other after starring together in the 2018 film The Great Battle.
The production team will start filming early next year and the drama is expected to be broadcast in the second half of 2020.
