Model Irene Voices Support For Victims Of Sexual Harassment

On April 12, Irene took to her Instagram and shared a supportive message for victims of sexual harassment, revealing that she has also experienced sexual harassment.
In the message, Irene talked about the difficulty of being able to discuss this matter freely in her field of work, but told others to not be discouraged.

It took me awhile to think about whether I should address this or not because as a woman in Korea, it’s not easy to speak your mind, especially in the industry I am in. But I’ve chosen to be unapologetically me. As a victim of sexual harassment myself, my heart breaks and my love goes out to all of the women that were hurt through these horrible events. I can’t imagine the pain that you are going though. Please stay strong and know that you deserve all the respect in the world. Please don’t feel embarrassed or ashamed and know that you are not alone. Please know that this doesn’t define who you are. You are beautiful, precious, and loved. You are a queen, a goddess, and a survivor, and no one can take that away from you. I hope justice will be served to those who have committed these heinous acts of sexual violence. Love, Irene Kim
