“Liver Or Die” Premieres To Strong Ratings As “Encounter” And “The Last Empress” Remain Steady

KBS 2TV’s new drama “Liver or Die” is off to a strong start!
According to Nielsen Korea, the January 9 premiere of the new Wednesday-Thursday drama scored average nationwide viewership ratings of 5.9 percent during its first half and 6.7 percent during its second, marking a significant increase from the ratings achieved by “Feel Good to Die,” which previously occupied the time slot.
SBS’s “The Last Empress” continued to dominate its time slot with average ratings of 11.8 percent and 14.9 percent for its two parts, while MBC’s “Children of Nobody” scored average ratings of 4.4 percent and 4.7 percent for the night.
tvN’s “Encounter,” which airs in a slightly different time slot, scored average nationwide ratings of 7.5 percent and a peak of 8.6 percent for the evening. (Viewership ratings are calculated differently for dramas airing on cable networks.)
“Liver or Die” is a fun and heartwarming new drama starring Yoo Joon Sang, Lee Si Young, Oh Ji Ho, Jeon Hye Bin, and Lee Chang Yeob as a boisterous family of five siblings. Check out the first episode with English subtitles below!
