The previous episode’s catalyst for Tae-ho’s breakdown is revealed in the opening scenes of Live Your Own Life episode 30. The nurse confides in him about the treatment Myung-hee received from Sook-hyang while she had been confined to the holiday home. This discovery makes Tae-ho feel upset.

While visiting Hyo-sim at her home, Tae-ho gets so drunk that he sobs into her arms. She eventually gives in and lets him sleep on her bed as she dozes off at her desk.

After a long day at work, Hyo-sim decides to take a break and see Tae-ho at home the following morning. Despite her best efforts, he remains tight-lipped about his personal life.

On the other hand, Tae-hee and Hyo-do go ahead and register their marriage. Following that, they go out to eat chicken at a restaurant to celebrate.

Later that day, Sun-soon asks Ggeut-soon to take a picture of her lying on the couch, pretending to be sick. After that, she tells Hyo-sim that she’s sick and sends her the photo. On the other hand, Hyo-sim sees Sun-soon eating twisted donuts and humming as she strolls about Uicheon Villa.

In the board meeting the next day, Tae-ho speaks out against Tae-min’s promotion to vice chairman. The news reaches Sook-hyang and causes quite a commotion.

In the evening, Hyo-sim and Tae-ho go ice skating. Despite her repeated inquiries, he remains tight-lipped about the reason behind his sobbing. After this, Tae-ho shows Hyo-sim how to skate, and they have some tender moments together.

During the closing minutes of the episode, Tae-ho runs into Sook-hyang while he’s heading home. She confronts him about his standing in Tae-min’s way. He goes on to say that she doesn’t consider him family and that she should stop acting that way. Following that, he storms off, leaving Sook-hyang fuming with rage.

The Episode Review

In episode 30, Tae-ho finds out how Jin-soo and Sook-hyang mistreated his grandma. On the other hand, Tae-hee officially marries Hyo-do. Meanwhile, Hyo-joon and Mi-rim get dangerously close to sharing a kiss.

The show’s plot is reaching a turning point as Tae-ho discovers Sook-hyang’s duplicity. Not only that, but Sook-hyang is also attempting to get rid of Tae-ho. The romantic relationships between secondary characters like Hyo-joon and Mi-rim, Hyo-do and Tae-hee are deepening.

So far, the plot has been rather engaging, and it has been successful in keeping audiences glued to their screens. However, it’s frustrating that the plot of the show isn’t progressing more quickly. With that out of the way, the show is entertaining and dramatically succeeding.
