Live Your Own Life episode 29 picks up where the previous episode left off. Jin-soo and his thugs are surrounding Myung-hee. However, a police car zips by right before they’re going to catch her. When Myung-hee calls the police for help, the officers take her to the bus station.

When Myung-hee gets to Uicheon Villa, she doesn’t seem to be too good. As she is about to pass out, Ggeut-soon notices. Following that, Ggeut-soon makes her a meal so she can recover well.

The nurse who periodically checked up on Myung-hee happens to be in Tae-ho’s path when he and Hyo-sim are out grocery shopping. There is an agonizing silence after they have both acknowledged each other. That being said, they part ways thereafter.

Back at home, Sun-soon is still fuming over Hyo-joon’s refusal to take the exam. This is all happening while Hyo-sim visits the university to enroll. She finds out later that the test will be in English, so she studies up on the language. On top of that, Tae-ho volunteers to lend her a hand.

Sook-hyang and Jin-bum go out for dinner with their in-laws and later return drunk. Tae-hee seizes the opportunity and escapes the house. Outside the egg tart shop, she meets Hyo-do, and the two of them run away.

In the meantime, Mi-rim pays a visit to Uicheon Villa and offers to help Hyo-joon study for his bar exam. She then escorts him back to the unit, where she successfully persuades him to take the bar exam.

During the final moments of the episode, Tae-ho goes out with the nurse to find out about his grandmother. She divulges to him the story of how Sun-soon trapped her in their vacation house. Tae-ho, devastated by the news, goes to Hyo-sim’s house after drinking heavily. After she soothes him, he breaks down in tears, and the episode comes to an end.

The Episode Review

In episode 29, Tae-ho learns about the way Sun-soon treated his grandmother. Hyo-do and Tae-hee run away together. Myung-hee escapes the goons. In addition, Mi-rim persuades Hyo-joon to take the bar exam.

Every part of the episode was interesting and fun to watch. This was where most of the turmoil from the previous episode is settled. Additionally, the characters seem to be at their most vulnerable at this point, making the show rather interesting. It’ll be interesting to see the way the storyline unfolds moving forward.
