Lim Ji Yeon has made a significant discovery in the upcoming episode of “The Killing Vote”!
Based on a popular webtoon, “The Killing Vote” asks the question “What is your idea of justice?” and delves into the concept of a nationwide death penalty vote against vicious criminals who deftly manage to escape the law’s blind spots. The drama highlights the story of a mysterious figure known as “Gae Tal” (dog mask), who executes the death penalty depending on the results of a vote, and the police who are pursuing them.
Park Hae Jin plays Kim Moo Chan, the head of Team 1 of the regional investigation unit at the Southern Provincial Police Agency. Lim Ji Yeon plays the role of Joo Hyun, a fifth-year lieutenant at the Cyber Security Bureau of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency.
In the previous episode of “The Killing Vote,” the second nationwide death penalty vote took place as promised by Gae Tal. The target of this case was a murderer who had killed three husbands and claimed a hefty insurance sum of 10 billion won (approximately $7.5 million). Kim Moo Chan (Park Hae Jin), the leader of the Special Investigation Team for the case, bravely put himself in harm’s way to protect innocent citizens. Ultimately, the vehicle that he rode with the murderer blew up by a bomb set by Gae Tal. As Kim Moo Chan grapples with this dire situation, viewers are left wondering if the police can catch Gae Tal.
The newly released stills show Joo Hyun stumbling upon a crucial clue connected to Gae Tal. In the dead of night, illuminated solely by her flashlight, Joo Hyun searches an empty room in darkness. In the following photos, her expression turns to one of surprise as she spots something written in vivid red ink on the wall: “The 13th was wrong.” The mystery deepens as questions arise about where Joo Hyun is and what the phrase means.
The production team commented, “In Episode 3, Joo Hyun discovers a vital clue related to Gae Tal. As Kim Moo Chan faces the biggest crisis in his life yet, Joo Hyun demonstrates her quick decision-making skills and sharp judgment in order to track Gae Tal. Lim Ji Yeon showcases tremendous focus and energy as she portrays Joo Hyun, a character who won’t hesitate to put herself on the line for justice. Thanks to her performance, we believe we’ve effectively captured the gripping suspense of the drama. We kindly ask for your keen interest and anticipation [for the upcoming episode].”
The next episode of “The Killing Vote” will air on August 24 at 9 p.m. KST.
