The highly-anticipated Part 2 of “My Dearest” has unveiled character posters of Lee Hak Joo, Lee Da In, Kim Yoon Woo, and Lee Chung Ah!
Set in the Joseon dynasty, “My Dearest” is a historical romance drama about the love story between a man named Lee Jang Hyun (Namgoong Min), who has declared that he will not marry, and a woman named Yoo Gil Chae (Ahn Eun Jin), who dreams of finding love again even after two failed marriages. The drama also stars Lee Hak Joo as Nam Yeon Joon, a promising Confucian student studying at Sungkyunkwan, Lee Da In as Nam Yeon Joon’s fiancée and Yoo Gil Chae’s closest friend Kyung Eun Ae, and Kim Yoon Woo as Joseon’s greatest pansori singer Ryang Eum, who is close friends with Lee Jang Hyun.
In the first character poster, the shining eyes and tightly closed lips of Nam Yeon Joon convey his strong will and upright personality. The text that reads, “If I can erase the traces of barbarians in the land of Joseon, I am willing to sacrifice even my soul,” shows Nam Yeon Joon’s strong patriotism.
Another poster features Kyung Eun Ae, who matured and became a strong woman as she experienced numerous crises during the Second Manchu War. The text that reads, “My dear, you should follow your own path,” symbolizes Eun Ae’s fidelity and unconditional support for her husband Nam Yeon Joon.
Meanwhile, the poster below captures Ryang Eum (Kim Yoon Woo), who parted ways with Lee Jang Hyun in the end of Part 1, shedding tears. The text that reads, “Can’t we just go back to the way it was before we met that woman?” shows his feelings for Lee Jang Hyun as well as resentment toward Yoo Gil Chae.
Finally, the sharp gaze and charisma of Gak Hwa (Lee Chung Ah), who is the mysterious woman in a blue mask from Part 1, capture attention. The text that reads, “I will not lose the man I want to another woman,” gives a hint that she is the character that will cause a big change in the romance between Lee Jang Hyun and Yoo Gil Chae in Part 2.
“My Dearest” is gearing up for the premiere of Part 2 on October 13 at 9:50 p.m. KST.
