tvN’s “Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938” has shared a sneak preview of the upcoming episode!
“Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938” is a sequel to the hit 2020 drama “Tale of the Nine-Tailed,” which told the story of the male gumiho (mythical nine-tailed fox) Yi Yeon (Lee Dong Wook) in the present day. However, in the new sequel, he unexpectedly finds himself back in 1938, and he embarks on an eventful adventure in his quest to return to the present.
Previously, Yi Yeon and Cheon Moo Young (Ryu Kyung Soo) set out to find the missing Ryu Hong Joo (Kim So Yeon). Although Ryu Hong Joo was under Jang San Beom’s (Go Geon Han’s) control, she broke free after recalling her childhood memories with Yi Yeon and Cheon Moo Young. The three succeeded in taking down Jang San Beom, but Cheon Moo Young revealed that he was the one who invited Jang San Beom in the first place, warning Yi Yeon that he will be unable to return to present day.
The newly released stills depict the changed atmosphere at Myoyeongak. Instead of visiting the Afterlife Immigration Office, the indigenous gods come flocking Myoyeongak, leaving Yi Yeon and Ryu Hong Joo to solve their civil complaints. Furthermore, the Shinigami mercenary (Jung Sun Cheol) is also hidden among the indigenous gods, raising questions about his plans.
Furthermore, Yi Rang (Kim Bum) also appears to be thinking over the words he heard from Cheon Moo Young about sacrificing his life for Yi Yeon in the future. Yi Rang will face a dangerous situation due to a bet with the Dokgakgwi (Kim Bup Rae) who comes to visit Myoyeongak. In order to save his younger brother, Yi Yeon will begin a dangerous bet with the Dokgakgwi, making viewers curious to find out if Yi Yeon will be able to win the bet.
The upcoming episode will depict Yi Yeon, Ryu Hong Joo, and Cheon Moo Young heatedly facing off to earn what they each desire, also portraying the gumiho siblings recovering their relationship following the unexpected misunderstanding.
The next episode of “Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938” will air on May 28 at 9:20 p.m. KST.
