Lee Dong Gun and Park Ha Sun will be starring in a new short-form drama together!
On November 6, the short-form drama “A Love That’s Completely Useless” (literal translation) revealed that Lee Dong Gun and Park Ha Sun will star in the series.
Directed by Lee Jeong Seob of “Queen for Seven Days” and “Angel’s Last Mission: Love,” the drama follows a bachelor and a spinster with outdated beliefs that couples must marry if they sleep together. The two meet—opposites of each other’s ideal types—and accidentally spend a night together, sparking a funny and unexpected romance between neighbors.
Lee Dong Gun stars as Lee Mu Gae, a capable bachelor who works as a literary critic and editor-in-chief at a publishing company. He is a devoted son, a top student, and a caring older brother. However, his shy personality makes it difficult for him to confess his feelings, making him an expert in unrequited love.
Lee Dong Gun is known for his roles in “Lovers in Paris,” “The Gentlemen of Wolgyesu Tailor Shop,” and “Queen for Seven Days.” With his solid acting and signature deep gaze, Lee Dong Gun has earned a reputation as a romance expert. In “A Love That’s Completely Useless,” he will portray a man who is clumsy when it comes to love, marking a new chapter in his career.
Park Ha Sun plays Do Do Hye, the head of the design department at a publishing company and an unmarried woman. A pro at spending time alone, Do Do Hye believes she’s the perfect match for any man, convinced her looks, body, and abilities are flawless. However, she has the unusual ability to push away any man who approaches her.
Park Ha Sun showcased her stable acting in various dramas including “Dong Yi,” “Two Weeks,” “Love Affair In The Afternoon,” and “The Veil.” Also a radio DJ and variety show host, she is set to bring a fun mix of romance and comedy to “A Love That’s Completely Useless.”
“A Love That’s Completely Useless” is set to premiere in January 2025. Stay tuned for more updates!
