ENA’s upcoming drama “Love is for Suckers” has shared a sneak peek of a major turning point for Lee Da Hee’s character!
“Love is for Suckers” is a romantic comedy starring Lee Da Hee and Super Junior’s Choi Siwon as two best friends who have known each other for 20 years. When they meet as the producing director (PD) and a cast member of a reality dating show, they unexpectedly begin to develop romantic feelings for one another.
Lee Da Hee will star in the drama as Goo Yeo Reum, a variety show PD in the 10th year of her career. Despite her hard work, all the programs she gets involved with wind up being unsuccessful. Meanwhile, Choi Siwon will play Park Jae Hoon, a plastic surgeon who lacks passion in both his work and love life, who ends up appearing on Goo Yeo Reum’s new dating show “Kingdom of Love” as a contestant.
In newly released stills from the upcoming drama, Park Jae Hoon poses for a wedding photo shoot with fellow “Kingdom of Love” contestant Han Ji Yeon (Lee Joo Yeon), a university professor who is beautiful and perfect on paper, but clumsy when it comes to dating.
However, while watching Park Jae Hoon and Han Ji Yeon pose together as a couple on the set of her own show, Goo Yeo Reum unexpectedly finds herself experiencing strange and unfamiliar new feelings. First, she is surprised by how different her longtime friend looks once he’s cleaned up and sporting a tuxedo—a far cry from how he’s usually dressed when he hangs out with her.
Then, as the shoot progresses, Goo Yeo Reum’s expression grows visibly darker as she fails to hide her inexplicable jealousy.
The producers of the drama teased, “From the very first episode, the romantic comedy ‘Love is for Suckers’ will showcase the sweet chemistry between a wide variety of couples, causing a rosy, romantic vibe to blossom.”
They went on, “We captured the entertaining moment that everyone has probably either imagined or experienced at least once: seeing my close guy friend or female friend standing by the side of someone who isn’t me. Please look forward to the first episode of ‘Love is for Suckers.'”
“Love is for Suckers” premieres on October 5 at 9 p.m. and will be available with subtitles on Dramacool.
