“Brain Works” has shared a sneak peek of an intriguing undercover investigation!
KBS 2TV’s “Brain Works” is a brain science-themed comedy-mystery drama about two men who can’t stand each other but who must work together to solve a crime case involving a rare brain disease. CNBLUE’s Jung Yong Hwa plays Shin Ha Ru, a brain scientist who possesses a very “extraordinary brain,” having everything except humanity. Cha Tae Hyun plays Geum Myung Se, a very nice and considerate detective with an “altruistic brain.”
In the newly released stills, Geum Myung Se and Seol So Jung (Kwak Sun Young) showcase their perfect chemistry while acting out an old married couple together to infiltrate a cult for their investigation. Geum Myung Se is sitting in a wheelchair with his wig hat on, and Seol So Jung is wearing a luxurious outfit and an expensive pearl necklace while standing next to him to look like a wealthy old couple.
Pretending as if his energy is weakened, Geum Myung Se slowly leans toward Seol So Jung while Seol So Jung takes care of him with a worried expression. Viewers are curious to find out why Geum Myung Se and Seol So Jung are disguising themselves as an old couple and whether their undercover investigation will end in success.
Meanwhile, Shin Ha Ru disguises himself as a sacred savior who looks very suspicious. In the stills below, Shin Ha Ru appears through the dark smoke, wearing a brown cloak that might have been worn in the Middle Ages. He then recites the Latin phrase, “Fiat Lux (Let there be light),” overwhelming viewers with his charismatic gaze.
The production team remarked, “Jung Yong Hwa impressed the filming site with his overwhelming presence which filled the screen to the fullest. This particular scene where Jung Yong Hwa’s performance stands out is expected to add great tension, thrill, and excitement to the development of the story. Please check it out through the broadcast.”
“Brain Works” airs every Monday and Tuesday at 9:50 p.m. KST.
