Upcoming web drama “Social Savvy Class 101” has released new character posters!
“Social Savvy Class 101” follows the story of outsider Kim Ji Eun (Kang Na Eon), who becomes the manager of “Insider Time,” an anonymous community app that holds all the secrets of the entire school. As she gets entangled with the school’s most popular clique, which she once yearned to join, a secret romance ensues.
The character posters hint at the intriguing stories of Kang Woo Bin (Kim Woo Seok), Kim Ji Eun, Lee Dong Min (Choi Geon), Mo Bong Gu (Son Dong Pyo), and Min Seol Hee (Han Chae Rin).
Kim Woo Seok’s poster suggests a unique romance between his character Kang Woo Bin and the socially awkward Kim Ji Eun with the phrase, “You want me to confess? Who are you anyway?”
Kim Woo Seok described Kang Woo Bin as “externally perfect but with a secret that viewers will find very intriguing.” He added, “Personally, I’m introverted, but I had a great time filming with people who have an outgoing charm like Woo Bin.” He chose the keywords “popular,” “secret,” and “friend” to describe his character, stating, “Woo Bin changes significantly as he shares his secret with his friends.”
In Kang Na Eon’s poster, Kim Ji Eun beams with a refreshing smile while holding a cellphone, showcasing her vibrant charm. Her heartfelt confession, “I want to be popular!”, raises curiosity about whether she can escape her outsider status.
Kang Na Eon noted that the drama is full of bright energy, making the story feel cute and lovable. Pointing out a similarity between herself and her character, Kim Ji Eun, she said, “We both value our friends and consider loyalty very important.”
She also praised her co-stars, saying, “Since Kim Woo Seok is the most senior [in terms of his acting career], he became a sturdy pillar on set. Also, because this was Choi Geon’s first acting project, he must have felt nervous and challenged, but I could see his dedication to fully immersing himself in his character. I also tried hard to help create a positive environment.”
In his poster, Choi Geon showcases Lee Dong Min’s tsundere charm, asking, “Hey, Shabby Kim, don’t you remember me?”
Choi Geon expressed his appreciation for Kang Na Eon, saying, “She took care of me in many ways and created a friendly atmosphere, so I’m really thankful.” He added, “All the other actors are also around the same age and great people, so we communicated easily and had fun filming.”
Son Dong Pyo’s character poster radiates refreshing energy and highlights his outgoing personality, featuring the phrase, “If you know me, your school life is already a win!”
“Social Savvy Class 101” marks Son Dong Pyo’s first acting role. After completing his first shoot, he shared, “I felt a lot of pressure and had many worries since it was my first time [acting]. However, as I jumped into filming, everything felt new and exciting rather than difficult, and I really enjoyed it.”
In contrast, Han Chae Rin heightens the tension of the drama with a blank expression and the line, “You were absolutely nothing.”
Han Chae Rin summed up her first impression of the project with the word “innocence,” saying, “The entire time I was reading the script, I felt excited and nervous, as if I had returned to my high school days.”
Noting similarities between herself and her character, Min Seol Hee, she went on, “Seol Hee is class president, and I was also class president in school. I think we’re also similar in how we both love physical education and dancing.”
Kim Woo Seok, Kang Na Eon, Choi Geon, Son Dong Pyo, and Han Chae Rin concluded, “We worked hard and gave our best during filming. We hope you will show interest, love, and support for ‘Social Savvy Class 101.’”
“Social Savvy Class 101” is set to premiere on November 10.
