Penned by “Crash Landing on You,” “My Love From the Star,” and “Producer” writer Park Ji Eun, “Queen of Tears” is a new drama about the miraculous, thrilling, and humorous love story of a married couple who manage to survive a crisis and stay together against all odds.

On the previous episode of “Queen of Tears,” Hong Hae In (Kim Ji Won) went all the way to Baek Hyun Woo (Kim Soo Hyun)’s hometown of Yongduri in order to support her father-in-law’s bid for re-election.

However, things took an unexpected turn when Hong Hae In unexpectedly wandered off in a daze, leading Baek Hyun Woo to frantically search for her until he was drenched in sweat. The episode ended on an emotional note, with the couple tearfully embracing after Hong Hae In admitted that she couldn’t remember how she’d gotten to where she was.

In newly released stills from the drama’s next episode, the atmosphere between Baek Hyun Woo and Hong Hae In has changed completely. Because they sleep in separate bedrooms at home, the couple appears nervous about having to share one small room in Yongduri.

But in contrast to the awkward tension from Hong Hae In’s family’s hunting trip, Baek Hyun Woo now seems almost loving as he affectionately takes care of his wife. Whether carefully tending to the wound on her leg or tenderly drying her hair, Baek Hyun Woo’s concern for his wife is clear—and for her part, Hong Hae In doesn’t shy away from these displays of affection as her husband dotes on her.
