KBS2’s “My Lovely Boxer” has unveiled more stills of Kim So Hye ahead of the premiere!
“My Lovely Boxer” is a sports drama based on the novel “My Lovely Boxer Lee Kwon Sook” written by Choo Jong Nam, the winner of the second Kyobo Bookstore Story Contest. It is a story about genius boxer Lee Kwon Sook (Kim So Hye) and a cold-blooded agent Kim Tae Young (Lee Sang Yeob) who doesn’t feel guilty of match-fixing for money and the success of his athletes. WINNER’s Kim Jin Woo stars as Lee Kwon Sook’s first love and preschool vice principal Han Jae Min.
Kim So Hye plays boxer Lee Kwon Sook who vanished from the industry three years ago. After disappearing right before the championship, Lee Kwon Sook changes her name and now lives as a preschool teaching assistant, but her fate once again changes after meeting the dangerous sports agent Kim Tae Young (Lee Sang Yeob).
The newly released stills depict both Lee Kwon Sook’s past and present. Wearing bright red gloves, Lee Kwon Sook watches her opponent’s movements with her fierce gaze.
More stills capture Lee Kwon Sook living an ordinary life as a preschool teaching assistant. Wearing a modern hanbok (Korean traditional attire), Lee Kwon Sook smiles brightly while showing a dance routine to the children. Viewers are curious to find out the reason why Lee Kwon Sook left the boxing ring to live as a teaching assistant.
“My Lovely Boxer” will premiere on August 21 at at 9:45 p.m. KST and will be available on Dramacool.
