Kim Sang Kyung And Yeo Jin Goo Have A Shocking First Encounter On “The Crowned Clown”
Dec 31, 2018
“The Crowned Clown” has revealed Yeo Jin Goo and Kim Sang Kyung’s fateful first meeting!
tvN’s upcoming Monday-Tuesday drama “The Crowned Clown” is about a king who brings a clown that looks identical to him into the palace in order to avoid those who want to kill him. Yeo Jin Goo will take on both the roles of the king Lee Heon, who’s life is threatened by enemies, and the clown Ha Seon, who will pretend to be the king. Kim Sang Kyung will take on the role of Lee Gyu, the chief royal secretary who helps the clown enter the palace due to his fierce loyalty to the king.
In the released stills, clown Yeo Jin Goo meets Kim Sang Kyung in the middle of the gibang (the place where courtesans live). Yeo Jin Goo’s eyes grow wide as Kim Sang Kyung grabs his collar, but Kim Sang Kyung also looks startled as if he’s seen a ghost.
In the next still, the two simply stare at each other as if time has stopped from the suffocating tension. Yeo Jin Goo’s and Kim Sang Kyung’s emotional expressions hint at the big events that are about to unfold.
The stills show Lee Gyu meeting the clown Ha Seon, who looks exactly like his king Lee Heon, for the first time. It’s an important scene in which the scenario of the “humble clown becoming the honorable king” develops. On this day of filming, Yeo Jin Goo and Kim Sang Kyung both showed their intense gazes and perfect chemistry, immersing themselves fully into the scene. Viewers can look forward to watching Yeo Jin Goo’s and Kim Sang Kyung’s powerful acting skills in “The Crowned Clown.”
“The Crowned Clown,” which is a remake of the 2012 film “Masquerade,” will premiere on January 7 at 9:30 p.m. KST.
