Upcoming drama “The Fiery Priest 2” has dropped a new poster!

SBS’s “The Fiery Priest,” which first aired in 2019 and recorded a peak viewership rating of 22.0 percent, is about a Catholic priest with anger management issues and a cowardly detective who work together to solve a murder case. Kim Nam Gil, Honey Lee, Kim Sung Kyun, and more from Season 1 will be reprising their roles in the upcoming season.

In the eye-catching main poster, actors including Kim Nam Gil, Honey Lee, Kim Sung Kyun, Sung Joon, Seo Hyun Woo, and BIBI display their passion. At the center, fervent priest Kim Hae Il (Kim Nam Gil) holds a rosary and gazes determinedly. To the left, cheerful prosecutor Park Kyung Sun (Honey Lee) returns with a bright smile, while on the right, dedicated detective Goo Dae Young (Kim Sung Kyun) stands strong with an intense expression, embodying his role as the “night guy.”

Next to Kim Hae Il, drug organization founder Kim Hong Sik (Sung Joon) is caught by the tie of prosecutor Park Kyung Sun, showcasing a powerful villainous presence as he tightly clenches his fists. On the other side, another villain, Nam Du Heon (Seo Hyun Woo), head prosecutor of the Busan Southern District Prosecutor’s Office, firmly grips his briefcase, exuding a suspicious air, while being restrained by detective Goo Dae Young. Behind Nam Du Heon, detective Goo Ja Young (BIBI) from the Busan Police Department’s Drug Investigation Unit displays an intense expression, fully revealing her determination.

In Season 2, Go Dok Seong (Kim Won Hae) transforms into a reliable ally. Meanwhile, members of the Gudam Police Station—Oh Yo Han (Go Kyu Pil), Ssong Sak (Ahn Chang Hwan), Nun Kim (Baek Ji Won), and Father Han (Jeon Seong Woo)—are depicted with fierce expressions as they head to Busan, hinting at an exciting showdown ahead.

The poster also introduces new characters who will interact with Kim Hae Il and the Gudam team. Yang Hyun Min, wearing retro sunglasses and sporting a curly hairstyle, brings a humorous gangster vibe. Lee Dae Yeon, dressed as a priest and holding a rosary, grabs a gangster by the hair, while Seo Bum June strikes an energetic pose that highlights the youthful spirit of a young priest. These elements build anticipation for the refreshing story set to unfold in Season 2, taking place in Busan.

The production team said, “Thanks to the fearless performances of all 20 actors in the main poster, we were able to capture the thrilling emotions of this ‘no-backdown collaboration investigation drama.'” They added, “In ‘The Fiery Priest 2,’ the new Gudam Avengers will take on a large drug cartel that involves prosecutors, police, and organized crime. Look forward to their stories, starting with the ‘hell-bound high-speed pass.'”

“The Fiery Priest 2” is set to premiere on November 8 at 10 p.m. KST as the follow-up to “The Judge from Hell.”
