Kim Min Seok has shared his thoughts on his upcoming drama “Delivery Man”!
“Delivery Man” will tell the story of a taxi driver who only gives rides to ghosts (played by Yoon Chan Young) and a ghost suffering from memory loss (played by Girl’s Day’s Minah) as they work together to solve crime.
Kim Min Seok will play the role of Do Gyu Min, a workaholic emergency room doctor who winds up helping the unique crime-solving duo. A talented doctor who is respected for his skill and dedication, Do Gyu Min is a consummate professional who is able to maintain his composure even in the most nerve-racking emergency situations.
Describing his initial reaction to the drama’s script, Kim Min Seok recalled being charmed by its unusual subject matter. “When I first saw the keywords ‘mystery-solving drama,’ ‘souls,’ and ‘taxi for ghosts,’ I thought the subject matter would be heavy,” he explained. “But there was an unexpected fun to the drama.”
“Every case made me curious, and each and every one was interconnected, which I found intriguing,” added Kim Min Seok.
As for why he was particularly drawn to the character of Do Gyu Min, Kim Min Seok remarked, “I thought that he was a different type of character from other doctor roles I’ve played in the past. He’s not a doctor with a flawless, elite background. But he’s unrivaled in his work ethic and strength on the life-and-death frontlines of the emergency room.”
“I found that aspect of the character appealing, and I thought I could do a good job [portraying him],” he continued, “so I wound up taking part in the drama.”
“Delivery Man” will premiere on March 1 through Genie TV, ENA, and TVING.
