Kim Min Kyu looks stunning in his newly released stills from “The Heavenly Idol”!
Based on a popular webtoon and web novel, “The Heavenly Idol” is an upcoming fantasy drama starring Kim Min Kyu as High Priest Rembrary, who suddenly wakes up one day to find himself in the body of Woo Yeon Woo, a member of the unsuccessful idol group Wild Animal.
Go Bo Gyeol will star alongside him as Kim Dal, Woo Yeon Woo’s No. 1 fan. When her bias suddenly begins insisting in the fifth year of his career that he’s actually High Priest Rembrary, she winds up becoming Wild Animal’s manager in order to save him.
The newest stills give a glimpse of Kim Min Kyu in his roles as High Priest Rembrary and Woo Yeon Woo. As the High Priest, he exudes power and grace, and his crisp white robes without even a thread out of place capture how everything must be in order in his life. As High Priest, he allows no room for mistakes.
However, everything suddenly changes when High Priest Rembrary is placed in the body of Wild Animal member Woo Yeon Woo. Gone are the white robes, and in their place are a glitzy stage outfit, makeup, and a hairstyle that’s a far cry from the long locks he used to have.
Unsurprisingly, it’s not all smooth sailing for the former High Priest, who has to do everything he can to survive in the completely foreign realm of the idol industry. Will he be able to pull off living an entirely new life as Woo Yeon Woo?
“The Heavenly Idol” will premiere on February 15 at 10:30 p.m. KST.
