An official date and the first lineup for Dream Concert in Japan have been announced!
On April 24, the Korea Entertainment Producers Association announced that the 2023 Dream Concert in Japan will be held on June 18 for two shows at Saitama Super Arena.
The official title of the concert will be “Hello, My Friends!” and it is promoted as an opportunity for music fans from Korea and Japan to bond over their love of K-pop. The first overseas performance of Dream Concert is also expected to serve as a catalyst for exchanges of pop culture between Korea and Japan.
The first lineup for the Dream Concert is chock full of amazing talent. Kim Jaejoong, Kim Junsu (XIA), Dreamcatcher, KINGDOM, AIMERS, “The Idol Band: Boy’s Battle” band Hi-Fi Un!corn, and ILY:1 will be gracing the stage of the Dream Concert, while BTOB’s Yook Sungjae, KINGDOM’s Hwon, and former IZ*ONE member Yabuki Nako will be the event’s MCs.
Dream Concert is the longest-running and largest K-pop concert in Korea recognized by the KRI Korea Archives. It is Korea’s leading K-Pop festival that has held 28 consecutive concerts and achieved a remarkable 100 percent reservation rate at its peak. In addition, 1.55 million domestic and foreign audience members and 604 K-pop singers and groups have participated since the very first Dream Concert held in 1995.
