Upcoming romance film “Love in the Big City” (working title) has confirmed the main cast!
Based on a bestseller novel by Park Sang Young, who was nominated for the International Dublin Literary Prize along with the Booker Prize, “Love in the Big City” is a romance film which will depict a cohabitation between a free-spirited woman and a man who hides his innate secrets. Director Lee Eon Hee, who helmed various films including “The Accidental Detective 2: In Action,” “Missing,” and “Love Exposure,” will be in charge of production.
Kim Go Eun, who showcased a wide acting spectrum through various dramas including “Little Women,” the “Yumi’s Cells” series, “The King: Eternal Monarch,” and “Guardian: The Lonely and Great God,” will take on the role of Jae Hee, who is bold and charming and not afraid to express her feelings even in a relationship.
Noh Sang Hyun, who impressed through the dramas “Pachinko” and “Curtain Call,” will play Heung Soo, who has no interest in studies nor relationships. After his secret gets revealed to Jae Hee, Heung Soo ends up living together with her and and finds his own way of loving.
The production team released photos from the first script reading, sharing that they kicked off filming on July 8 amidst a friendly atmosphere.
Kim Go Eun remarked, “I am so excited about the time I will spend as Jae Hee, who has a free-spirited and bubbly [personality]. I am looking forward to working with actors who will play various characters, and I am already curious about how these interesting episodes will be showcased in the film. I will do my best to contribute to this great project.”
Noh Sang Hyun also expressed his excitement about his first lead role on the big screen, saying, “This is a project that I prepared joyfully. As much as I am working with great actors and staff, I will do my best to make a great project until the end.”
