The premiere of “All That We Loved” is fast approaching!
TVING’s “All That We Loved” is a romance drama about the love triangle that forms when two best friends—one of whom has donated a kidney to the other—both fall for the same transfer student in high school. EXO’s Sehun will play charming basketball star Go Yoo, while Jo Joon Young will play top student Go Joon Hee, who receives a kidney transplant from Go Yoo. Jang Yeo Bin will star as Han So Yeon, the beautiful transfer student who steals both of their hearts.
Ahead of this week’s premiere, the drama has shared four key points that viewers should look forward to. Check them out below!
After receiving a kidney transplant from his best friend Go Yoo, Go Joon Hee begins experiencing cellular memory syndrome, the hypothesis that one can acquire the personality, habits, and memories of their organ donor. This results in the mysterious phenomenon of the two best friends becoming eerily similar and experiencing a butterfly effect as they fall for the same girl and witness a small event having a major impact on their friendship and lives.
Another key point of “All That We Loved” is the unpredictable story of friendship and love in youth that spans nearly two decades from 2006 to 2023. After Go Yoo, Go Joon Hee, and Han So Yeon enjoy their teens in the early 2000s, the drama will jump to present day where the mysterious psychiatrist Dr. Go (Song Jae Rim) appears. As he is known as the character “holding the key to the secrets of the events that took place in the past,” viewers are left wondering whether he is the older Go Yoo or Go Joon Hee.
“All That We Loved” is set in 2006 and has already teased its retro vibes with character posters designed as virtual minirooms from Cyworld, a Korean social networking service that was popular in the 2000s. On top of that, the cinematography of “All That We Loved” combined with several remakes in the drama’s soundtrack will be reminiscent of this era.
The drama’s lead stars Sehun, Jo Joon Young, and Jang Yeo Bin are representative stars of their generation who will capture the essence of youth with their chemistry and good looks. In addition to being the perfect model of his school uniform, Sehun will shine as a basketball star. Jo Joon Young’s good looks will enhance his aloof charms and steal the heart of viewers. Last but not least, Jang Yeo Bin will captivate viewers in an instant and remind the audience of their youth and first love.
Episodes 1 and 2 of “All That We Loved” drop on May 5 at 4 p.m. KST and will be available on Dramacool.
