Kang You Seok In Talks To Join Go Yoon Jung In “Hospital Playlist” Spin-Off Drama

 

Kang You Seok may be joining Go Yoon Jung and Shin Si Ah in the spin-off version of “Hospital Playlist”!

On September 22, JTBC Entertainment News reported that Kang You Seok has been cast in the lead role in the upcoming “Hospital Playlist” spin-off drama “A Life of a Resident That Will Be Wise Someday” (literal title).

In response to the report, a representative from Kang You Seok’s agency HODU&U Entertainment clarified, “Kang You Seok has received an offer to star in ‘A Life of a Resident That Will Be Wise Someday’ and is currently positively reviewing the offer.”

As the spin-off drama of “Hospital Playlist,” “A Life of a Resident That Will Be Wise Someday” will depict the realistic and relatable hospital lives and turbulent friendships of doctors and residents at the Jongro branch of Yulje Medical Center.

Previously, Go Yoon Jung and Shin Si Ah had been confirmed to star in the upcoming drama as first-year residents. Reportedly, Go Yoon Jung, Shin Si Ah, and Kang You Seok will all play lead roles in the new drama.

Director Shin Won Ho and writer Lee Woo Jung, who produced the “Reply” series and the “Hospital Playlist” series, will participate as creators in the new project.

Kang You Seok has gained recognition for his performances in “Dr. Romantic 2,” “Light On Me,” “Start-Up,” and “Once Again.” More recently, he garnered acclaim for his role as Sa Wol in the Netflix original series “Black Knight,” securing the role after prevailing in an audition with odds of 1500-to-1.
