Kang Han Na has a lot of adoration for her latest role!

“Bloody Heart” is a fictional historical drama about the bloody political romance between Lee Tae (Lee Joon), a king who has to abandon the woman he loves to survive, and Yoo Jung (Kang Han Na), a woman who has to become the queen to survive.

Kang Han Na portrays the role of Yoo Jung who is too forward-thinking to be held down by strict Confucian values and too free-spirited to be held within the restricting walls of the women’s quarters. To Yoo Jung, Lee Tae is someone who saved her life and allowed her to live. It’ll be interesting to see how her relationship with Lee Tae plays out as they oppose each other while in her quest to survive the ruthless battles within the palace.

The actress shared how she came to take on the role by saying, “First, the script is so fun that I had an easy time reading through it. I also found the strength and colorful energy radiating from the character of Yoo Jung to be charming. I’ve watched all of director Yoo Young Eun’s works, and I found her attention to detail memorable. I was so excited at the thought of how this tightly woven plot with the charming characters and the director’s sophisticated touch would come together to form a new kind of historical drama, and I wanted to work together [on this project].”
