Kang Ha Neul and Ha Ji Won have raved about their chemistry and amped up the excitement for “Curtain Call”!
KBS 2TV’s “Curtain Call” is an upcoming drama series that centers around the family of Ja Geum Soon (Go Doo Shim), an elderly woman from North Korea who owns the Paradise Hotel. She recruits a young theatre actor named Yoo Jae Heon (Kang Ha Neul) to fulfill her last wish with the limited time she has left. Ha Ji Won plays Park Se Yeon, the granddaughter of Ja Geum Soon and manager of Paradise Hotel.
Regarding Ha Ji Won’s acting, Kang Ha Neul remarked, “Every filming is always really fun. Ha Ji Won laughs easily and has a gaze that makes others comfortable so I look forward to each filming.” He added, “With each episode, a lot of extraordinary circumstances will unfold and there will be all kinds of suspense and twists in the problem solving journey, so please look forward to it.”
Ha Ji Won also shared tons of praise for Kang Ha Neul, saying, “He is so kind and an actor who works really hard at everything. He has such a pretty heart and more than anything, his passion for acting is amazing. We’re in the middle of filming enjoyably as our acting chemistry is really great, so it’ll be good if you look forward to it.”
The newly shared photos of the two actors capture their sweet relationship. Through just their eyes, it appears as though Yoo Jae Heon and Park Se Yeon know exactly what the other is thinking.
“Curtain Call” will also highlight both Kang Ha Neul and Ha Ji Won’s North Korean dialects. Kang Ha Neul commented, “I’ve been filming so enjoyably with Ha Ji Won while laughing, so we haven’t had time to talk about our North Korean dialects. I received voice recordings of North Korean dialect from a teacher who had defected, but when I tried to convey it exactly, it came out stiff. I changed it to be a bit more gentle so viewers could listen comfortably and I hope you don’t think it feels awkward.”
“Curtain Call” premieres on October 31 at 9:50 p.m. KST.
